Swamp Thing

Force of nature.

RELEASED 31 May 20198h 20m · 10 episodes★ 7.4 TMDB

CDC researcher Abby Arcane investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but she soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.

Why it matters in DC

Abby Arcane's investigation begins with a public-health problem before revealing the swamp's supernatural dangers. That perspective makes discovery and uncertainty central to the adaptation, providing a horror-led entry into DC rather than requiring knowledge of a wider superhero continuity.
