Superman vs. The Elite

World saved. Humanity lost.

RELEASED 12 Jun 20121h 16m★ 6.9 TMDB

The Man of Steel finds himself outshone by a new team of ruthless superheroes who hold his idealism in contempt.

Why it matters in DC

A rival team challenges Superman's ideals by presenting ruthless methods as an improvement. That gives the film a direct reason to examine the value of his restraint, making his ethical position the subject of the conflict rather than background to an action plot.
